Our Sri Lanka trip is going to be a tour around the island’s hotspots followed by four or five days of beachside chilling. Now who wouldn’t like that. This is the season to visit Sri Lanka, outside the monsoon time and with temperatures typically from 24C to 32C, depending on where and how high you are.
The map above can be interacted with and clicking the top lefthand icon of the map will reveal the names of each numbered destination. Here’s the breakdown of what we shall be doing:

Make sure you bookmark our blog page so that you can catch up with our adventures each day. Today (30th Dec) we have travelled from home to the Holiday Inn Heathrow Airport where we have parked up and settled in for a glass of wine and a good dinner before retiring for the night. Our plane leaves at 11:30 on the 31st and, in case you hadn’t already noticed, that’s my 75th birthday!
Gabrielle will pick up the next post about our journey to Colombo.

It looks like there is only 15 minutes left of 2024 for you; enjoy the rest of your birthday. Love from Steve and Abi
Happy Birthday my friend. Safe travels. x
